Who is Zeta Tau Alpha?

Zeta Tau Alpha was created to make a difference in the lives of our members by developing the potential of each individual. Our goal is to connect members through close bonds and to build a strong chapter full of empowered women. ZTA is made of many individual women and we celebrate the uniqueness each sister brings.

LEADERSHIP

A new chapter like ours will be a great place to grow your leadership skills. Not only will we need to fill a full Executive Committee and Programs Council, each member will have opportunities to be a leader within the chapter, whether they hold a position or not. Chapter officers will be able to attend leadership conferences and have one-on-one training and mentorship with ZTA Leadership Consultants and chapter advisors.

SISTERHOOD

As a new chapter grows, there will be plenty of opportunities for planned social and sisterhood events, as well as spontaneous get togethers or lunch dates. Through shared social experiences, genuine care for one another, and support and encouragement, ZTA will help you make new friends and lasting bonds.

MY SISTER, MY RESPONSIBILITY®

In ZTA, we live by this saying. Our sisters look out for and are always there for each other. "My Sister, My Responsibility" isn't just a concept, through. Our harm reduction and safety programs are housed under this umbrella. To learn more about these valuable programs, visit ZTA's national website.

PHILANTHROPY

Zeta Tau Alpha’s philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. Every collegiate chapter plans events to increase awareness, particularly in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We love partnering with athletic teams to host Pink Out games on campus, as well as other organizations to help increase awareness and outreach. Learn more about our philanthropy here.

ACADEMICS

The first line of The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha is about the opportunity to learn. Our Founders attended the State Female Normal School, now Longwood University, to become teachers, and learning remains central to our purpose today. In ZTA, you have access to cutting-edge academic achievement resources, including online and in-person programs. The chapter will have an Academic Achievement Chair who helps coordinate these programs.

Additionally, the ZTA Foundation annually provides hundreds of scholarships to Zetas across the country.
