UW Community

Do you know students who would make great sorority members? Recommend them using our form!

We seek to be a true partner on campus and can't wait to get to know the staff, organizations and students at UW-Madison. If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, please email wiscozta@gmail.com.

PARALLEL CORE VALUES

At UW–Madison, you aspire to be the premier fraternal community with a foundation of core values built on sisterhood, leadership, scholarship and service and philanthropy.

In the same way, Zeta Tau Alpha’s Key Values include lifelong learning, leadership, "being rather than seeming," humility, love, loyalty and commitment, responsibility, "seeking understanding that we might gain true wisdom," and service and philanthropy.

From students' first day in ZTA, they will sense our lifelong commitment to friendship. Our Zeta Is Forever New Member Experience connects new members as sisters. In a new chapter, members form tight bonds. ZTA alumnae advisors and National Officers also provide guidance to our collegiate members.

LEADERSHIP

A new chapter like ours will be a great place to grow leadership skills. Not only will we need to fill a full Executive Committee and Programs Council, each member will have opportunities to be a leader within the chapter, whether they hold a position or not. Chapter officers will be able to attend leadership conferences and have one-on-one training and mentorship with ZTA Leadership Consultants and chapter advisors.

SISTERHOOD

As a new chapter grows, there will be plenty of opportunities for planned social and sisterhood events, as well as spontaneous get togethers or lunch dates. Through shared social experiences, genuine care for one another, and support and encouragement, ZTA will help students make new friends and lasting bonds.

MY SISTER, MY RESPONSIBILITY®

In ZTA, we live by this saying. Our sisters look out for and are always there for each other. "My Sister, My Responsibility" isn't just a concept, through. Our harm reduction and safety programs are housed under this umbrella. To learn more about these valuable programs, visit ZTA's national website.

ACADEMICS

The first line of The Creed of Zeta Tau Alpha is about the opportunity to learn. Our Founders attended the State Female Normal School, now Longwood University, to become teachers, and learning remains central to our purpose today. In ZTA, you have access to cutting-edge academic achievement resources, including online and in-person programs. The chapter will have an Academic Achievement Chair who helps coordinate these programs.

Additionally, the ZTA Foundation annually provides hundreds of scholarships to Zetas across the country.

PHILANTHROPY

Zeta Tau Alpha’s philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. Every collegiate chapter plans events to increase awareness, particularly in October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Learn more about our philanthropy here.
